As a key player in the backend Java engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of designing cutting-edge software solutions, with a keen eye on scalability, high availability, security, performance, and cloud architecture. Your expertise shines through in developing top-tier code, crafting intricate solutions, and architecting sophisticated systems. Leading a team of engineers, you'll guide them through feature development, integrating their work, conducting reviews, providing status reports, and collaboratively solving challenges. Your role will extend far beyond coding, where you'll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, fellow software engineers, architects, and team leads, ensuring alignment and synergy across projects. With a comprehensive understanding of the development life cycle, you'll oversee automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), test-driven development (TDD), integrations, builds, and deployment, driving efficiency and excellence throughout.

The ideal Java Developerhas: 

• At least 4 years plus of commercial software development experience.
• Extensive experience with streaming frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Spark and Flink
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases.
• Demonstratable experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Good written and verbal skills in English (Ideally to B2 level)
