As the Site Reliability Engineer in this role, you'll be entrusted with the operational helm, managing both the application and platform layers within a critical SLA framework. Your day begins with overseeing and executing crucial production tasks, from deployments to ongoing maintenance and enhancements. Your focus on maintaining the high availability of our SaaS platform entails close collaboration with various teams, ensuring seamless operations. Continual improvement is key, as you drive enhancements across systems, deployments, operations, and cloud activities. You're the go-to expert for deployment, tools, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, ensuring optimal system performance. As incidents arise, you adeptly manage them, conducting thorough root cause analysis, implementing preventive measures, and facilitating knowledge transfer. Your dedication extends to developing and upkeeping processes, documentation, and automation to streamline operations. Additionally, you spearhead platform maintenance and testing initiatives, ensuring our systems remain robust and reliable.

The ideal Site Reliability Engineer has:

At least 3-plus years of experience in running solutions in production.

Extensive experience with AWS and/or GCP Cloud providers.

Experience with monitoring systems such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Knowledge of CI/CD concepts using Jenkins, GitLab, and BitBucket.

Good written and verbal skills in English (Ideally at a B2 level). 

 

It would be extra awesome if you had:

Background experience as a developer prior to moving into Site Reliability Engineering.

Experience with Terraform and Helm.

A base-level understanding of networking and security best practices in a production environment.
